Rodriguez, Kelmel named Players of the Week in WISL

POTW-1The Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) names an offensive and defensive player of the week during the season. For the first weekend of play in the 2015-16 campaign the honors go to Sporting Everett FC’s Lupe Rodriguez (offense) and Olympic Force’s Victor Kelmel (defense.)

OFFENSE: Lupe Rodriguez, Sporting Everett FC

Lupe Rodriguez scored three goals on Saturday night at the Everett Soccer Arena as Sporting Everett FC handed the Tacoma Stars Reserves their first WISL loss ever (after going 10-0-0 and winning the league last season.)

“Lupe is a very talented player,” says Sporting head coach Craig Otto. “He’s a very hard worker and now a team player. His work ethic is amazing. I am very happy for him to be named Player of the Week. He deserves it.”
