Sporting loses in Bremerton

Sporting Everett FC (Sporting) dropped their recent Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) match 13-4 against the Olympic Force in Bremerton, Washington. The last time Sporting was in Bremerton was for the 2015, Premier Arena Soccer League NW Division Championship game, which Olympic had won.

In the loss, 4 different Sporting players recorded goals, as: Hector Rodriguez, Corey Hendrickson, Brayton Knapp, Lucas Dourado all found the back of the net. For Olympic, Ishmael DeLuna and Gus Bermudez each had a hat trick.

On the defensive end, Sporting Keeper, Jeff Renslo recorded 8 saves, against a high powered force offense that produced a blizzard of shots throughout the game.

Despite the loss, Sporting still claims the WISL’s fourth and final playoff spot after the Snohomish Skyhawks lost to Bellingham United at home.

All we can do to rebound from this is have a good weeks practice and come out this Saturday and win, with a good differential, and just wait and see what other teams do” said Hendrickson. “The only thing that is in our hands is the game this Saturday. The rest will play itself out and determine our spot in the playoffs.”
Sporting will travel to Vancouver, Washington to take on the Vancouver Victory for their season finale. Vancouver enters the match in last place with a 1-8 record, but a recent 13-6 win over the Oly Town Artesians.
